Brief Introduction

 

CMC-T series soft start device have various starting methods: voltage ramp control, linear torque control, square torque control, step inverter control, square torque control, step frequency conversion control and so on. Users can choose different starting methods according to different loads and specific conditions of use.

 

When using voltage ramp starting, the output voltage loaded to both ends of the motor will increase linearly, and at the same time, the output current will increase at a certain rate, and the current will remain unchanged when the starting current increases to the limiting value m, i.e., the current limiting function of the system, and the other starting has the same function, which will not be repeated later. If the current falls below the limit value, the system will continue to shift the phase until the start is complete.

 

When starting with linear torque, the output voltage loaded to both ends of the motor is controlled, the output voltage curve is shown on the right, and the output torque will gradually increase according to the preset optimal curve to start the motor, which is suitable for occasions where the load becomes heavier gradually.

 

When using square torque starting, the output voltage loaded to both ends of the motor will be controlled, and the output torque will gradually increase according to the preset optimal curve to start the motor, and this kind of starting method is suitable for occasions where the torque becomes lighter gradually.

 

Staged frequency conversion starting is in the starting process, the soft start device firstly accelerates on the quarter-frequency, when the speed reaches the rated speed of the quarter-frequency, then jumps to the industrial frequency to start, the quarter-frequency uses the voltage ramp starting, the industrial frequency uses the torque ramp starting, this kind of starting method is mainly applied in the large inertia loads.

 

Sudden jump function is mainly applied to the motor with large static resistance, by applying an instantaneous large starting torque to overcome the large static friction torque. In this mode, the output voltage quickly reaches the set jump voltage, and when the pre-set jump time is reached, the output voltage drops to the starting voltage, and then starts smoothly according to the set starting voltage and ramp time until the starting is completed. There are two ways of jumping, namely buck jumping and low-frequency jumping, and low-frequency jumping has a larger output torque than voltage jumping, and the current impact is small.

 

In order to solve the problem that some loads are difficult to start in the field, so the system has the function of secondary starting. The main mechanism is: when the starting time is greater than the parameter "secondary starting current limiting start time (C08)", and the control system is still in the state of current limiting, the system will be in accordance with the "secondary starting current limiting multiplier (C09)" value of current limiting, that is, amplified current limiting multiplier, so set this value should be greater than the "secondary starting current limiting multiplier (C09)" value. Therefore, this value should be set slightly larger than the value of the "current limiting multiple (C07)" parameter.
