Brief Introduction

 

KYN28A-12 enclosed switchgear is a kind of high voltage switchgear which is more common in China nowadays, and its full name is: indoor metal armored move-open switchgear. The rated voltage is 3.6kV~12kV, and its characteristic is that the equipped vacuum circuit breaker is center-mounted, i.e. the circuit breaker is located in the middle of the front cabinet of the enclosed switchgear, so that the lower space can be used for the expansion of other programs or used as a cable room.

 

K stands for metal-clad, Y stands for removable, N stands for indoor, 28A is the serial number issued by the industry focal point, and the 12 at the end stands for the rated working voltage of 12kV.

 

The circuit breaker trolley of the enclosed switchgear is mounted in the railed circuit breaker compartment B. The circuit breaker can be moved between two different positions: operation and test/isolation. When the circuit breaker handcart moves from the test position to the working position, the upper and lower flaps are opened by interlocking the flap rails mounted on both sides of the circuit breaker with the upper and lower rollers in the flap assembly mounted in the stationary cabinet, and the flaps are reset to automatically cover the static contacts when the handcart is moved from the operating position to the test/isolation position.

The handcart can be operated with the enclosed switchgear. The position of the handcart can be seen through the observation window on the door, the ON (circuit breaker closing)/OFF (circuit breaker opening) buttons, the opening/closing status indicator and the energy storage/release status indicator on the handcart. On request, an emergency unlocking device can be added to the door of the handcart to manually open the circuit breaker in case of emergency.

 

Circuit breaker handcart includes VD4 or VG1 circuit breaker handcart (or handcart of the same shape), the handcart chassis car can realize the mechanical connection between circuit breaker and cabinet, the handcart chassis is locked on the enclosed switchgear, and the handcart can be moved manually by screw. The circuit breaker frame is made of alloy steel plates assembled with circuit breakers and other equipment. Contact arms with spring-loaded contact system are mounted on the poles of the circuit breaker and act as an electrical coupling when the trolley is inserted into the operating position.

 

The signal, protection and control lines between the trolley and the enclosed switchgear are connected by a control line plug. The trolley is fixed in the test/isolating position as soon as it is inserted into the enclosed switchgear and is also reliably connected to the earthing system of the switchgear. The position of the handcart can be seen through a viewing window or through the handcart electrical position indicator mounted on the panel of the low voltage compartment.

 

In addition to vacuum circuit breakers, there are F-C trolleys with vacuum contactors, isolation trolleys, grounding trolleys, metering trolleys, voltage transformer trolleys with fuses, isolation trolleys with fuses, etc. The same types of trolleys can be interchanged. Handcarts of the same type can be interchanged.

 

KYN28-12 series enclosed switchgear's busbar room is mainly formed by left and right rear side panels, busbar room lower partition, busbar room rear sealing plate, through-wall casing mounting plate, busbar room front partition and plug plate with movable door to form the internal isolation of the switch cabinet, of which the busbar room is 1088mm high, front and rear depth is 632mm. when the busbar fails to ignite an arc, the internal partition of the switch cabinet can also ensure the safety of the personnel in the proximity disconnector room and the cable room.
