Brief Introduction

 

Take care to check the environmental conditions of 480V soft starter in general, and prevent it from being operated under more than its permitted environmental conditions. Pay attention to check whether there are any objects around the low voltage soft starter that hinder its ventilation and heat dissipation, and make sure that there is enough space (more than 150mm) around the soft starter.

 

Regularly check whether the terminals of the distribution wires are loose, and whether there are any abnormal phenomena such as overheating, discoloration, burning smell, etc. in the cabinet. Clean the dust regularly so as not to affect the heat dissipation and prevent the thyristor from being damaged due to high temperature rise, and also to avoid leakage and short-circuit accidents caused by the accumulation of dust.

 

Sweeping dust can be carried out with a dry brush, also can be used for leather tiger blowing and vacuum cleaner suction. For large pieces of dirt, can be used to remove the insulating rod. If there are conditions, can be used about 0.6MPa compressed air blowing.

Usually pay attention to observe the operation of the fan, once found that the fan speed is slow or abnormal, it should be repaired in time (such as removing grease and dirt, adding lubricating oil, replacing damaged or deteriorated capacitors). The damaged fan should be replaced in time. If the low voltage soft starter is used without a fan, it will damage the thyristor.

 

If 480V soft starter is used in a humid environment or prone to condensation, it should be dried frequently with an infrared bulb or hairdryer to drive off the moisture to avoid leakage or short-circuit accidents.
