Motor Description

During the electrical inspection, the insulation resistance of YE3 series motor shall be measured with 500V megger, and the value shall not be less than 0.5mΩ. The humidity heat type motor shall not be less than 1mΩ. If it is lower than the above requirements, it should be dried. The drying method is as follows:

Method 1: Disassemble the electric motor and place the stator winding in the drying room (the rotor of wound rotor motor shall be placed in the drying room at the same time). The temperature of drying room shall not exceed 100℃. When the insulation resistance value is greater than 1mΩ and the insulation resistance value stops changing, it indicates the drying is finished.

Method 2: block the motor rotor and apply low voltage to the motor winding. Generally, the current applied to the motor winding is about 1/3～1/2 of the rated current on the rating plate. Please pay attention to ensure that the temperature of motor winding does not exceed 100℃. When the insulation resistance is greater than 1 mΩ and the insulation resistance stops changing, it indicates the drying is finished.
