Brief Introduction
Both the inside and outside of the three phase slip ring motor should be free of oil, water, dust and dirt. The exterior should be scrubbed clean, and the interior can be blown free of debris and dust with low-pressure, oil- and water-free, dry compressed air or a small hand blower.
Use a clean rag moistened with gasoline to wipe off the antirust layer. Make sure that the bearings and lubrication chambers are free of dust and debris and that the oil plugs are installed. Bumps, scratches and traces of rust must be carefully removed from the journals.
If possible, disconnect series three phase slip ring motor from the driven equipment and turn the shaft to ensure flexible rotation. The above process can be done during installation and this check does not need to be repeated after installation when nothing has changed. Test start to check that the motor rotates in the same direction as the direction plate.
If no driving equipment is connected and the YRKK three phase slip ring motor is running at no load, allow enough time to make sure that no abnormalities exist. Listen for noise, vibration, impact and abnormal sounds and oil ring rotation. If there is any abnormality, stop the machine immediately, and study the cause of the abnormality and deal with it.
If it is not possible to disconnect the driving equipment, cut off the starting circuit after the motor accelerates to a low speed. Carefully observe any abnormalities in the motor from the idling to the stopping stage. Repeat the above procedure if necessary, but not more than twice.
After starting series three phase slip ring motor with no load, check whether the reserved magnetic center is correct, if there is any problem, adjust it according to the actual situation; check whether the vibration of the motor meets the specified requirements. And do the host flange docking to ensure that the motor runs in the magnetic center.
The motor is allowed to start directly at full voltage, when the capacity of the grid is not enough, it can also be started by reduced voltage (reactor or autotransformer can be used to start). The starting torque decreases in relation to the square of the starting voltage when starting at reduced voltage, so when the static load is quite large, it is not suitable to use reduced voltage starting.
