Brief Introduction

 

The YRKK900 high-voltage slip ring rotor induction motor refers to the motor with a rated voltage above 1000V. 6kV and 10kV are common, while 3.3kV and 6.6kV are also used due to different power grids in foreign countries. When power of low voltage motor increases to a certain level, such as 300Kw/380V, the current, limited by the allowable capacity of the wire, is hard to increase or the cost is too high. In this condition, the high voltage motor is born, using increased voltage to promote power. High voltage motors have advantages of high power and strong impact resistance, it also have shortcomings such as large inertia and hard to start and brake.

 

As the most popular AC asynchronous motor, also called induction motor, high voltage motors are convenient, with reliable operation, low cost and compact structure, but its power factor is low and hard to achieve speed regulation. Synchronous motor not only has a high power factor, but also its speed is independent of the load size and only depends on the grid frequency. The job is more stable. Dc motors are used in applications requiring wide range of speed regulation. However, it has a commutator, complex structure, expensive, difficult to maintain, and is not suitable for harsh environments.

 

After the 1970s, with the development of power electronics technology, AC motor speed regulation technology is gradually mature, equipment prices are decreasing, has begun to be applied. The maximum output mechanical power that the motor can bear without causing the slip ring rotor induction motor to overheat under the specified working system (continuous, short-time operation system, intermittent cycle operation system) is called its rated power, and attention should be paid to the provisions on the nameplate when using.
