Brief Introduction

 

The foundation of YRKK Series of air cooled high Voltage ac motor must be rigid so as to minimize motor vibration and misalignment degree of axis when motor operates;

The size of foundation must be 1.1 times greater than the projection size of motor; according to rough calculation, the weight of foundation shall 2.5 times greater than the gross weight of machine.

The best foundation is reinforced concrete structure, especially for large motor and driven equipment; the foundation can be built on the ground, structural steel frame and floor ground, the total weight (motor, driven equipment and foundation) can not exceed the allowable support load; beam frame must have enough rigidity to ensure the normal operation of motor and be away from resonance region.

The foot surface of motor must be installed on steel gasket or base plate; the top surface of steel gasket or base plate must form a horizontal plane and its elevation shall be slightly lower than the maximum distance from the centerline of motor shaft to footing surface. Before placing the base or base plate on concrete foundation, roughen and wash the top surface of foundation.

The grout blanket of foundation shall be implemented in strict accordance with the requirements so as to ensure the firmness of foundation.

All the mounting pads between footing surface of motor and foundation surface shall be placed well.

The rigidity of foundation and the accurate degree for contact of motor footing surface and foundation surface will directly affect the vibration of motor in use.
