Position sensing commutes the current of the stator winding in a certain order according to the change in the position of the rotor (that is, it detects the position of the magnetic pole of the rotor relative to the stator winding, and generates a position sensing signal at the determined position, which is processed by the signal conversion circuit to control the power switching circuit, and the winding current is switched according to a certain logical relationship).The operating voltage of the stator winding is provided by an electronic switching circuit controlled by the output of the position sensor. There are three types of position sensors: magnetic, photoelectric and electromagnetic. Brushless DC wound motor using magnetically sensitive position sensors, and their magnetically sensitive sensor devices (such as hall elements, magneto-sensitive diodes, magneto-sensitive diodes, magneto-sensitive resistors, or application specific integrated circuits, etc.) are mounted on the stator assembly to detect changes in the magnetic field generated when the permanent magnet and rotor rotate.
A brushless emergency DC motor using a photoelectric position sensor is equipped with a photoelectric sensor device at a certain position on the stator assembly, the rotor is equipped with a shading plate, and the light source is a light-emitting diode or a small bulb.When the rotor rotates, due to the action of the shading plate, the photosensitive components on the stator will generate pulse signals intermittently at a certain frequency. Brushless DC motors that use electromagnetic position sensors have electromagnetic sensor components (such as coupling transformers, proximity switches, LC resonance circuits, etc.) installed on the stator assembly. When the position of the rotor of the permanent magnet changes, the electromagnetic effect will cause the electromagnetic sensor to generate a high-frequency modulated signal (its amplitude varies with the position of the rotor).
