Brief Introduction

 

Z4 series 400v DC motor adopts IP21S protection method, this standard describes a classification system for subdividing the levels of protection provided by the enclosure of electrical equipment. This system should be applicable to most types of electrical equipment, so it should not be assumed that all of the listed levels of protection are practical for a particular type of electrical equipment. The manufacturer of the electrical equipment should consider and determine the available levels of protection and the levels of protection that can be applied to the individual components of the equipment.

 

In adopting this system of classification criteria, consistency in the description of the protection classes provided by the enclosure and in the tests performed to verify the various protection classes should be improved as much as possible. Also, the number of test device types should be minimized when testing a wide range of product protection levels.
